Since November 12th a significant weather pattern was detected in the Caribbean sea. As of now this weather pattern has been dubbed Tropical Storm Otto and it is forecast to hit Nicaragua and Costa Rica.
There are alerts that it may turn into a hurricane later throughout the day. Alerts in various town where the trajectory is plotted have gone from yellow to red. The Red Cross along with the local police have begun to evacuate residents. It is advised to remain indoors and not travel. Specially in the San Carlos canton which slightly borders Nicaragua.
Prayers go out to those who are in danger of loosing their homes and belongings. Let us hope that it will pass without causing serious damage.
